About Me

I graduated high school in 2002 and went on to study for a year at Indiana University. I quickly realized, it was not the place for me and made the decision to come home and work until I could figure something else out as well as decide what it was I wanted to do with the rest of my life.

I got comfortable living on my own, doing my own thing, and working that school did not enter my mind again until about 6 years later. I figured out what I wanted to do, although it changed again within a year after taking some classes, and so I went back only to find out my husband and I were expecting our first child. So after only one semester, I took some time off and 3 years later I went back for good (2010). I am now in my senior year but I am taking it slow. I still have my youngest of 3 at home for another 4 years and I want to enjoy it and nurture my love of sewing and other odd ad end hobbies.

I grew up in Southern Indiana, were I still reside with my husband and our three children, ages 7, 4, and 10 months old. In the last five years, we have welcomed two of those beautiful children, built a house, became a stay-at-home mom and full-time student. I feel truly blessed to be where I am today and so excited to get to where I want to be in the next few years.

Of course, I love sewing! But, I also like other crafts and my 4 year old daughter has taken a huge interest in cooking and baking. I love that we can share our creativity together and hope to share those with you as well! My son is also pretty crafty. He loves to draw and sometimes I am blown away by how accurate he can draw. Sadly, though, he has no interest when I sew or when we cook. Unless, of course, he gets to eat it! My husband is happy when I'm happy although I'm pretty sure he secretly LOATHES my craft room, aka the dining room!

I chose the name Five's Just Right as we had decided shortly after our third child that our family of  five was enough for us. It sounded right so I went with it!

The main purpose of this blog is so I can share some of my creations along the way. I would like to test new patterns before they are released publicly and this is a great place for me to keep up to date with a sort of resume to display my work for those who may be considering me to test their patterns. I am so excited at the opportunities that may lie ahead of me!

Thanks for stopping by and many happy day blessing your way!
